Mobilizing resources for charity

To better understand how taxes, costs, expenses, and money for granting are handled while we’re an owner of the asset you gifted, take a look at the resource below.

While an owner, we will:

  • Need to receive our ownership distributions
  • Work with your tax experts to estimate our potential tax liability
  • Withhold a portion of the distributed funds for taxes, ministry grant, costs, and fees
  • Grant net proceeds to a grantmaking vehicle like a Giving Fund

Note: To the extent that distributions do not cover carrying costs, our team will explain your options for covering them.

It’s our mission to mobilize resources by inspiring biblical generosity. While the gifted asset is owned by NCF or one of its affiliated ministries, distributions should enable current and ongoing giving.
